Merry Christmas to ALL of YOU!!!

As I reflect on this year past, I am grateful for the friendships made..
YOU, those that read my blog and travel this journey with me.

This Holiday..
I wish you all the LOVE that can fill your heart..
I wish you the BEST that life has to give...
I wish that all your days be filled with JOY..
May you know your friendships are cherished, even though I am not the best at keeping in touch, due to my animal schedules:)

I hope that you may be a part of my journey with the animals, for many years to come..
I will say it again, it is because of you that I continue on..
You give me strength, both financially and emotionally.
Without the help given, I could not do as much as I do.
Thank you a MILLION times over, from the bottom of my heart...
I count my blessings daily and I am blessed because of YOU, those that touch my life!!

Please leave me a note on my blog, so that I know you, that read and are a part of my internet friends..
That is my Christmas wish:)

((Yes, I know I'm a day late.. What else is new:) Blogger wasn't posting for me yesterday..))
COMMENTS:
Merry Christmas to you, too, Bernie.

Bless your heart for all you do for all the animals.

I had a small part in helping an old wandering dog find his way home on Sunday -- I can see why you keep going, through all the heartbreak. I felt very good, knowing he got home before he was hit by a car.....

Hi Bernie
Have been thinking of you and of all of the wonderful things that you do for our four legged friends...
I hope that you had the most wonderful Christmas-you truly deserve it.
I was telling my family that you are going to be teaching at one of my favorite stamp stores, The Stamp Act in Marshfield, MA...and telling them your story. My Dad said "Hey, that's my friend from Arizona." LOL!!!!!! He remembered you-I thought that was cute. My Mom loves what you do...(as do we all)
Lots of hugs
Kelly

Well, if you see about eigtht blogs from me saying all the same things that show up all at once, pardon me. I haven't been able to get them on. Here I go again:) Merry Christmas Bernie and Noel, and thank you for being our animal's EARTH ANGEL! I so admire your courage to get into those horrible shelters and rescue, nurture and restore the animals to the life they should have had to begin with. Your strength is incredible. Thank you for acting for the rest of us who love animals. Bless you, Mary

I'm a day late, too:) Thanks for all that you do for all those "critters" and for making it possible for us to live with the animals you've rescued. The house would be way too quiet without Silk & Smooth!

Hi Bernie! My name is Tara. I live not too far away from you, in Nashville. I've been reading your blog for about a year now. I think I emailed you once about a dog but that may be the only contact you and I have ever made.
I check your blog daily and am always left with a hopeful yet hopeless feeling. It's not you, it's me. I'm always feeling guilty for not being able to take in a dog or to be able to financially help you out. I'm barely making it myself.
But you do inspire me and I have secretly made it a goal of mine to someday run an animal rescue myself. Hopefully one day I'll get married, have a house of my own, with land to accompany many rescued animals like you.
I know where the Metro Animal Control facility is and I always want to go and save the animals...but I'd have no where to take them.
So this is what I can do. Since I too live in Tennessee, I'd like to offer you my help. At the moment I can't send money or supplies, but I can offer my time, my help, my services.
If you need someone to come to your house to help with the animals, I'm just an email away.
I work odd hours during the week, but if you need a helper on the weekends....please don't hesitate to email me.

Dearest Bernie,

I love your blog. I am not in the habit of leaving messages, but you are such a special person. You are incredibly strong. I couldn't go into a pound, I'd be in pieces. Goodness only knows I'm in pieces reding your blog most of the time. 8-)

Thank you, thank you and thank you for doing all that you do. As soon as I get back on my feet a bit more I'll send you a donation. 'Bout all I can do from Australia, as I don't think my art is up to the calibre donated to your art auction.

With huge hugs of love across the ocean - Annie

Merry Christmas to you and your human family and your animal family. You get lots of stars in heaven for all the good things you do.

How is Noel today?

Tara

Merry Christmas, Bernie.

I think your art is beautiful, what you do is beautiful and you are beautiful!

I love to visit your blog and read your stories and see all the lives you've saved. It makes me hug my dog every single time!

Merry Christmas Bernie! Wishing you lots of joy & peace in the coming new year.

Darn it, Bernie, I wrote you this long, heartfelt message last night, and it drifted off into the internet ethers somehow. I thought I had pressed all the right buttons, etc., but.....
Well, anyway, I send you so much love and blessings as this year makes it huge, groaning turn into the next. You are such a gift to me and to everyone who gets to know who you are, and what you are doing. I send the gentlest of hugs to Noel, who has captured my heart, and about whom I cannot stop thinking. Keep that outrageous and blazing light of yours burning. You are lighting up the sky, and every one of us. Biggest hugs and kisses, to you and all those precious animals, Patsy

Merry Christmas Bernie, you do such a wonderful thing for these animals. It takes a special person to put so much love and commitment into a project like this. I wish you every success and happiness for 2007. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of the cute kitties and canine's that you help over the next year!

happy holidays to you and yours, Bernie! peace+joy, melanie

Oh Bernie, your post about Noel was so bittersweet. I was so angry yet so comforted to see her touched by both the repugnant and altruistic sides of humanity. If we didn't already have two dogs, I would be sending for her immediately!

Blessings to you as you continue to advocate for those who need you most. I hope my small contribution will help in some way.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2007,

Edina

Hey! Happy New Year...love your new book. Hope all is well...
Suzi Finer

May you and all your animals have a wonderful new year! Thank you for your dedication and above all, thank you for bringing a shining ray of light into the world.

As "mom" to three dogs myself (one a rescue), I am totally in love with your blog -- and totally inspired by your commitment to saving all of these amazing little lives...

Wishing you and all of those angels with fur the very best of new years... you do such amazing work... and I finally got off my fanny this morning and made a donation... I wish I could do more. You are an amazing woman doing amazing things... and I hope that you and Noel and all the other sweet angels at A Place to Bark know that you are supported and encouraged and admired. What a tremendous example you provide for the rest of us.

God Bless you...

Bernie, I just happened upon your blog, and I will now be a faithful reader. Thank you so much for everything you do for the animals. You are truly an angel.

Dear Bernie,

You are such a love and a very special person with a big, big heart and kind soul. I think your unconditional love and commitment is truly beautiful and rare. I give my kitty babies hugs and kisses after reading your entries.

My best to all,
Pennie

Hey Bernie, I am very late in posting...that's my life lately! ;-) But I wanted to say Happy New Year!!! I wish you one full of love, kindness, and happiness, and so much more. What a beautiful picture of you! xo

Read this late but Happy New Year, Bernie. Noel is precious and I can barely stand to think about what she has endured. That has to be one of man's worst atrocities. They are so innocent and trusting. Ugh. Just hurts me so much. I'm so glad you rescued her and can't wait to see her pictures as she heals and thrives!
