New Year, New Faces
"I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart"
-Vincent Van Gogh

Will post as soon as I can..
Over Christmas, we took in a huge number of dogs.  The holiday got to me, in the sense that how can it be, on the most Blessed Day of the year, that animals would be put to sleep.  That their lives would end, when Christmas is about Hope, Belief, Life & everything else that is Blessed & Sacred...   So no Holiday for us, a houseful of animals.
One Christmas we will always remember!!!

Jeff & Terry are both out of commission with health problems, so it's all up to me to care for the animals.  I truly don't mind, but it doesn't leave me much time for anything else..
I'll be transporting half the animals next Tuesday, so I should have time to put a blog post up by the following week.
Please check back, you are important to me & I want to stay connected...
In the meanwhile here are a few of the many faces that are with us in this New Year:)
"For the animals!!!"

Their stories in the next blog post..
COMMENTS:
How far are y'all from Nashville? I'm driving an hour to get there every day already, so if you need help w/the critters (and don't mind a houseguest) I *could* come up and stay w/y'all for a bit and help out some.

Text me your phone number...whatever one I have is *not* the right one!

Great pictures! I love reading your stories.

I think about you all the time- I know how busy you are! When things calm down a little for you and everyone is back on their feet, I hope we get a chance to chat.
Love you!

I saw your twitter through a mutual friend. My two Goldens are rescues from Tennessee. Thank you for what you do. The dogs do too. :)

Bernie, have you ever looked into this group: http://pilotsnpaws.org/ They might be able to save you some of those long drives. I saw a clip about their work on MSNBC news and thought about you immediately!

Hope little Honey is doing well. We can't wait to have her up here!! When is her app't with the doc?

My husband Joe and I live in Ireland, and I was so happy to find your site. We rescued two dogs..Rufus who is a border collie and was tragically abused. He was actually set on fire. Also Charlie, who we found in the street. Both are like kids to us. Rufus has never gotten over the abuse and has many problems as a result, but he has a wonderful heart. I commend you on your work.

Bernie the update is wonderful & lets us know you are okay. If it were up to me.....I'd take them all! But alas, the husband has called it quits at 1 cat & 2 dogs. I am proud to say though that one of my dogs is a rescue! A smart cookie to boot! Huggs Bernie, Ronnie

The work you do is extraordinary. I have a shelter dog at home and work with a dog rescue group in Washington D.C., so I know how much time, effort and love goes into this work. Thanks for posting the photos!
